- PRESIDENT & CEO -

SCOTT TAYLOR from Bloomington, Indiana, is an Audio Engineer, Singer, Songwriter, Record and Film Producer, Professional Musician, Drum Consultant, Audio and Acoustics Consultant, Audio Instructor, and Business Owner. Beginning his career at the early age of 10, he started taking drum lessons from a professional studio/touring independent drummer, Dave Pruet, whose accolades span from Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Tammy Wynette, Charlie Daniels and many more. This began sparking Scott’s interest in music even further.

In June of 2001, after graduating from high school, Scott chose to pursue a career in business and enrolled at Ivy Tech State College (Bloomington, Indiana). While attending college, Scott and his cousin Patrick decided to open their own business.  During an internship at a local live sound company; Frazier Audio (Bedford, Indiana), Scott began working for Indiana University (I.U.) as a Union stagehand and member of IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees). In February of 2002, the audio company, Exhortation Audio (E-Audio), was born.  E-Audio, primarily a DJ company, focused on weddings and private/corporate events.  While becoming the largest, single-unit DJ company in the tri-state area, Scott (Co-Owner and Production Manager), was inspired by his time at I.U. and began building the infrastructure of E-Audio to rival those of professional touring companies. E-Audio focused on customer service, quality audio, live sound enhancement, and relied on morals and values to provide the best possible experience.

In May of 2004, Scott graduated College with an Associates Degree in Business Administration, with minors in Marketing and in Management. Wanting more of an understanding in live sound, Scott started looking into schools focusing on audio while still operating E-Audio.

In February of 2009, Scott began attending the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences located in Tempe/Gilbert, Arizona.

-The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences was founded on the philosophy that the unique nature of the recording industry requires a combination of technical skill, knowledge and creativity. Teaching methods emphasize this through hands-on experiences with a wide variety of modern and vintage equipment. CRAS provides training, disseminates information, encourages positive work attitudes and emphasizes career education, enabling dedicated students to achieve success. - CRAS

The Conservatory concentrates on everything audio: Live Sound, Post Production, Gaming Audio, Troubleshooting, Studio Recording, and Music Business. This extensive and very rigorous 7 1/2 month schedule propelled a new class of 48 students every three weeks. Once graduated, the Master Recording Program II, helped skyrocket Scott’s music career into high gear.

As an audio engineer, Scott has been mixing and working with live music for over 20 years. Starting in churches where he was the Assistant Front Of House (FOH) Engineer for SOCC (Sherwood Oaks Christian Church) - a church of over 3,000, working his way through local events for friends all the way to owning his own audio company and becoming Bloomington, Indiana’s, most trusted event/audio specialist. As a part of this, his knowledge of music is vast. While studying business in college, at a brief one-semester stay at Vincennes University, Scott was involved in four music courses. Continuing on from high school, he played trumpet in Concert and Jazz Band, as well as Pep Band and Percussion Ensemble where he played the drums. With musical influences ranging from: Creed, Alter Bridge, 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, numerous other 90’s bands; Classical and Orchestral music; Christian musicians like Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Matt Redman and many more, he is in love with music as a whole. Listening to all genres of music has made him someone to be taken seriously in the music industry. In 2009, he took his career to the next level and became a member of Local 3 AFM (American Federation of Musicians) in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he is registered for drums and percussion. As he grew up, Scott sang and played drums in numerous bands like the Backwoods Revival Band, Sherwood Oaks Christian Church Praise Band and Cincinnati Christian Church Praise Band. Additionally, Scott spent time as a worship leader at Hilltop Christian Church Camp. Sometime later, he was the selected drummer for W.I.N. Conference and Illiana Christian Church Camp. After playing in many other bands, Scott started his own band called DECREE. He became a driving force with his band including the overall production of DECREE’s first and only self-titled album. His contributions to the album include: songwriting/arrangement, drums/percussion, background vocals, co-engineer, and co-producer. As part of this process, Scott became the Business Manager for DECREE and holds all copyrights for the songs at the US Copyright office and is a member of ASCAP.  Scott has also has written his own music where he sings and plays guitar.

Scott’s musical abilities span from studio to live. While choosing to concentrate on live music, Scott moved to California, where he became the Production Manager for a live venue called The Vault (Temecula, California). While working at The Vault, Scott began working for a live sound company called Sound Image (Escondido, California). He spent twelve years there working with some of the industry’s most prolific and in-demand music professionals in all aspects of the music industry. Some of which include: BUSH, Pat Benatar, Richie Sambora, Jake Owen, and Poison. He has mixed and engineered live shows for numerous artists including: New Politics, Tyler Hilton, My Crazy Girlfriend, Young The Giant, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Cher Lloyd, No Doubt, John Waite and many more. As a touring professional, Scott has been: a Stage Technician, mixed FOH (Front of House) and Monitors, been a FOH and Monitor Technician, a Drum Consultant/Technician for the band My Darkest Days, a PA Technician (Flying PA) for Linkin’ Park, and Jimmy Buffett, Monitor Technician for Prophets of Rage (Rage Against The Machine spinoff group), was the Tour Manager/Production Manager/FOH Engineer for “Tom Petty - produced group” - The Shelters, was the Monitor Technician for Childish Gambino, held the positions of Stage Manager/Audio Technician/RF Coordinator for Chris Isaak, and has recently worked with newcomer Billie Eilish as the Audio Crew Chief/Monitor Technician/RF Coordinator. He was also an Executive Producer and financial backer on Kickstarter for the band “Meytal” for their 2nd studio album - “The Witness”. He has recently expanded his repertoire by entering the film industry to become a Producer on the Canadian film, "The Cuban".

In November of 2019, Scott came off the road early to take care of some health related issues. This ultimately took him away from his current world tour - Billie Eilish “When We All Fall Asleep”. Once recovered, in early 2020, through a local connection at Sound Image, Scott found solace in a new direction. He started working as an RF Consultant for Awaken Church - formerly C3 Church. Throughout the pandemic of 2020, Scott was able to grow his side operations and continue working in the audio industry by mixing FOH and Monitors at numerous Awaken Church campuses. While doing so, he designed and implemented an Educational and Instructional Audio Program™ curriculum called “The Circle” thus allowing him to currently hold the position as the Multi-Campus Audio Consultant, Live Sound Designer and Production Instructor across 6 Southern California campuses, and as of January 21st 2024 the newly enrolled Salt Lake City campus in Utah and Boise ID.
